Client: FIE Hubar (Parcel Manager). Logistics, shipments from China.
The client ships parcels in master packs to save on volumetric weight. It handles 50 to 400 parcels a day. Staff need to know which parcel sits in which pack, also where the connection drops.
Solution
We built a mobile app for couriers:
- An Android app on Ionic.
- Tracking of each master pack and of every parcel inside it.
- Offline work with synchronisation when the connection returns.
Results
- 50–400 parcels a day go through the app.
- Each master pack and every parcel inside it can be traced in one app.
- The client still uses the app in-house.
