Custom Software Development Services

Custom Software Development Services

Custom, full-cycle software development by GPO‑Tech — from consulting to deployment. Scalable solutions for web, mobile, IoT & enterprise.

Custom software, built by the team that also builds the hardware

We develop custom software for companies whose products are not just screens: connected devices, industrial systems, financial platforms and the backends that hold them together. The work runs from architecture and discovery through backend, cloud, dashboards and mobile apps — and, when the product has a physical side, the electronics and firmware come from the same team.

That is the practical difference between us and a general web studio. Most of what we build has to keep running unattended: a device reporting from a basement for three years, a pipeline that cannot lose an event, a dashboard someone watches during an incident.

What we build

Backend and cloud platforms

Services that carry real load: APIs, data ingestion, device management, integrations and the infrastructure to run them. We design for sustained throughput, ordered and replayable event streams, and failure modes that resolve to a known state rather than a support ticket.

Dashboards and internal tools

Interfaces for monitoring, analytics and real-time data — built for the people who look at them all day, not for a screenshot. Alerts, roles, audit trails and the boring details that decide whether a tool gets used.

Mobile applications

Apps for connected products and business workflows: device onboarding, remote control, notifications, user profiles and data visualization, on iOS and Android.

Embedded and device software

Firmware and embedded logic for sensors, controllers and industrial equipment, including communication, power optimisation and over-the-air updates. Written alongside the hardware rather than after it.

System integration

Connecting hardware, cloud platforms, third-party APIs and existing business systems into one working ecosystem — usually the part of a project with the least documentation and the most risk.

AI integrations

Anomaly detection, predictive alerts, computer vision and automation added to existing or new systems, as a layer on top of deterministic logic rather than a replacement for it.

Technologies we work with

  • Backend and integrations: Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, RabbitMQ, REST and gRPC APIs
  • Embedded and firmware: C/C++, STM32, ESP32, RTOS, OTA update pipelines
  • IoT connectivity: MQTT, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, RFID, NFC
  • Cloud and DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring and observability
  • Mobile: iOS, Android, Kotlin Multiplatform, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose
  • Data and AI: PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, MongoDB, Redis, OpenAI API, YOLO, OpenCV

Stack choices follow the problem. We will tell you when a simpler option is the right one.

How we work

  1. Discovery. A short paid phase to map the goal, constraints, architecture and technical risks — the cheapest de-risking available before development starts.
  2. Architecture. Service boundaries, data model, integrations and the failure modes each part must survive.
  3. Build. A dedicated team of three to seven engineers working only on your product, with a named technical lead as your single contact.
  4. Testing and hardening. Automated and manual testing, load and failure testing, observability and runbooks.
  5. Launch and support. Deployment, incident response and continued delivery. Connected systems are never finished.

Why GPO-Tech

  • Both halves of the product. Electronics, firmware, cloud, dashboards and apps from one team — so the hardware-to-software seam is an internal handoff, not a contract boundary.
  • Small autonomous teams. Three to seven engineers, dedicated to your product, sized to the roadmap.
  • Inside the EU. Tallinn, Estonia, since 2020. European working hours and the legal and IP framework EU clients expect.
  • You own the output. Source code, documentation and IP are assigned to you by contract, with no proprietary lock-in.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of software do you build?

Backend and cloud platforms, dashboards and internal tools, mobile apps, embedded and device software, system integrations and AI features — mostly for connected products, industrial systems and financial platforms.

Do you work with existing systems?

Yes. That usually starts with an audit of the current architecture, data flows and failure modes, so we can tell you what needs attention first and what can safely wait.

Can you cover hardware as well as software?

Yes — electronics and firmware are in-house, which is the main reason clients with physical products come to us.

How do you estimate a project?

After a short paid discovery. Estimating a custom build from a feature list alone produces a number that is either padded or wrong; discovery makes it real.

Who owns the code?

You do — source code, documentation and IP, assigned by contract, with no dependency on tooling you cannot take elsewhere.
